How it works
Your Laser Clinics Cosmetic Injector will have a detailed discussion with you to understand your lip goals. They will also go through your medical history to ensure it is completely safe to carry out the treatment for you.
Once the consultation is complete, a series of photos are taken which are kept in a completely confidential file and used as progress assessments with you and your Cosmetic Injector.
Next, the lips are cleaned thoroughly with a medical cleaning solution and then topical numbing cream is applied for up to 15 minutes to minimise discomfort. Once the cream has numbed the lips, the lips are once again cleaned, and the treatment process begins.
There are many different techniques that can be used to achieve your desired results so at this point your Cosmetic Injector will focus on the areas of your lips that you most want to improve. Lip filler can be used to enhance the size of the lip but it can also be used to create better lip symmetry, create definition, and/or improve the overall shape of the lips.
Side Effects
Once the treatment itself is complete, your Cosmetic Injector will clean the lips and apply ice (if required) to help reduce any expected swelling.

Vaccines and Cosmetic Injectables
For Cosmetic Injectable treatments, we advise you to wait a minimum of 7 days before or after receiving any vaccination.

Can I get lip filler if I'm under 18?
We do not treat anyone under the age of 18 for cosmetic injectables. We do offer a wide range of skin treatments suitable for your age group. Book a complimentary consultation with one of our highly skilled Skin Therapists to get started.

What should I do prior to the Cosmetic Aesthetics treatment?
Avoid vigorous physical activity or any large intakes of alcohol for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising. Aspirin and Vitamin E should not be taken one week before the treatment.

Can I get 1/2ml of lip filler?
You can, but it's charged at the cost of 1ml. This is common in the industry as product comes in 1ml syringes and for safety reasons, any remaining product must be discarded.

Can I eat or drink after my Cosmetic Aesthetics treatment?
Yes, you can eat and drink after your Cosmetic Aesthetics treatment. It may feel a little strange at first as there may be some swelling present. For the first 24 hours, you'll want to avoid eating foods that require excessive chewing so the product can settle.

Can I have my Cosmetic Aesthetics dissolved at the clinic?
We do not offer to dissolve Cosmetic Aesthetic products if you were treated outside of our network of clinics.
If you wish to dissolve the Cosmetic Aesthetic products you received at Laser Clinics, you must book a consult with your Cosmetic Injector.

What is a "Lip Flip"
As a part of your usual frown and crow's feet injections, lip flips are a few extra units that act to evert the lip. Usually, the top lip is our focus, we work with the muscle around your mouth to pop your lip a little to show a little more of the wet part of your lip.
This treatment is simple and can be added to any anti-wrinkle treatment. It lasts approx. 6-8 weeks and offers a subtle change to the lip. This is a great first step to try before deciding on our premium lip filler products. -
Can I get cosmetic injectable treatments while pregnant?
No. Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we do not treat clients who are pregnant. We advise against all cosmetic injectable treatments whilst pregnant simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on cosmetic injectable treatment effects on the fetus.
